NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM PORT ADELAIDE
The National Railway Museum at Port Adelaide has more than 100 exhibits within two huge pavilions and an 1870's heritage listed goods shed. The Museum represents railway operations from State, Commonwealth and private operators on the three major railway gauges used throughout Australia. It is a fun place for young families and the serious researcher - having a wide variety of steam locomotives, diesel engines and loads of carriages to explore.

Enjoy the rugged ridges, gully scenery and seasonal waterfalls that make up Morialta Conservation Park. The three waterfalls along Fourth Creek are popular features of the park and are linked by an extensive network of walking trails. The views from the rock climbing zone also provide opportunities to admire Morialta Gorge and the nearby Adelaide plains.

The SA Maritime Museum preserves the oldest nautical collection in Australia. In 1872 the Port Adelaide Institute began a museum collection to complement its library and its educational and social programs. That collection grew over the following century reflecting the seafarers and the ships that visited Port Adelaide. It is now held in trust at the SA Maritime Museum.

The City of PAE has developed ‘Ghosts of the Port, a’ self-guided walking tour, researched and written by Australia’s most recognised paranormal investigator Allen Tiller. The guide includes a detailed history of 13 different haunted locations across the Port and their ghosts, including the Civic Precinct, local pubs, Lipson Street, the Lighthouse and more. Head along to the Visitor Information Centre during opening hours to pick up your free map and guide book, then go for a walk and investigate the ghosts of the Port for yourself!
